| Why Easykart was created? At the end of the ´90s a considerable downturn in the number of drivers active in the different National Karting categories emerged according to some in-depth market analysis carried out by our company. Such analysis, carried out first on the Italian market, was also confirmed later in the major markets worldwide and at the same time the developing countries didn´t record any positive sign as well.
This negative context was taking shape even though in the last few years the knowledge regarding the karting discipline was really growing a lot. And this was possible thanks to the direct and indirect promotion made by several Formula 1 driver s who took their first steps, from an agonistic point of view, in the karting world and also for the huge number of indoor and outdoor facilities allowing people to try karts in main towns and in tourist areas. Moreover the passion for the engines is very widespread and probably it is only second to the football worldwide. The analysis carried out showed that the high managing costs are the major cause of the downturn and of the non-development of the karting activity. Moreover, as far as the agonistic field is concerned, the unstable regulations applied in this sector and the great splitting up of the categories proved to have the opposite effect. On the contrary the purchasing cost of the vehicle didn´t prove to be a factor able to influence and penalize particularly this discipline.
There are several sports, even less popular, which enjoy a much larger diffusion with the public, even though they require equivalent or higher costs compared to karting´s. In comparison with only 10 years ago the number of available facilities increased a lot in many countries and this is an essential condition if you aim at increasing the number of users. But racing-tracks are also influenced by the current crisis and, to balance credit and debit, the facilities are more and more often available to small racing cars or Motard as well. Following such analysis and on the basis of the experience gained by our company in 40 years of activity we have conceived a plan to reinvent the karting: the Easykart project.
